Blog looking a little empty recently (the manager's latest fine entry apart) so i thought i'd carry out a public service blog by copying these misplaced entries from Cinqueman in another place.........not too sure how the local community are taking to anybody fingering McCullen's blisters or, come to think of it, anybody called John thumping his Tracy - but i'm sure it can all be explained away at the next committee meeting. Good to see a web link from there to here though....who says we can't get the marketing people to work......

Dad Dancing
Its Official "World has been rocked"Seismic harmonics waves have spread out from Harrow Barrow to other places that rhyme with themselves like London.Perhaps this major ripple has thru convergence lifted Double Waters up and on her journey to the new world. Big plays all round . Lets mention new kid on the block Fingers McCullen who showed me his blisters. Steve Stixxxx as subtle as ever with set list and skins. John our leader in everthing but name and status thumping his Tracy, allowing deprived youths with crewcuts to go bowling so tunefully. As for the light show well The Manager excelled himself.Understated in a stone henge sort of way. Yes I take some responsibility for puchasing a hefty supply of iron oxide but I feel good and I feel its going to come good. Have 110 smackers , had 110 smackers but like the loot that John has it has not been invested unwisely. The second hand oxyacetyline torch is just the job to save magic bus from cremation. Hopefully I can now show link to pictures. Imaginatively Pete.

Dad Dancing
Dad DancingI am back in . I thought Dave was a big hit , better say that as he might read this. We had a fuller sound but perhaps we need to work on light and shade to fulfill our true passion and pace. Have tried to get hold of cheapo lights but our man Roger is elusive and may need them as he is in a proper band now. He is doing a lot for kids bands so good egg really. Dont know how we seemed to have dropped my killers number after all the things I've done .May have got by me this time but I wont get fooled again. Regards Pete. Ps Steve great photies.Bit late?

Dad Dancing
Dad DancingAha , I am reborn , relaunched, relanced really ready to blog. Gone is old Pete thirsty for the holy water , but unable to find it in his massive techno desert, or is that dessert? Nevermind whether I was drowning in semolina or sand, I have been transformed into Cinqueman, a little bit faster , a touch comfier and slightly more leg room .The manager's set is both realistic and within our limits. If we have the chance to add "keep on running "then we have a song to leave to if things turn nasty. The tale of the Lost Mariner/keyboards, backing vocals, lead vocals, bit of tambourine do , sounds like fun of sea without the wet salty bits { unless you count those bits of crisps that escape into the bottom of your beer glass}

Lights, cameras, actions
Yes we saw it all at the annual HarrowBarrowNarrowSparrow charidee gig last week. Pete asked if anyone could think of another place which rhymed with itself. LON-DON came the reply from the floor. Rather worryingly, Pete was impressed with this (but we always knew he had a problem with rhythm).
The lights were on, in a kind of "imagine if these lights were really working" way and it only took about 6 trips to the car to set them up. Boy those lights are GREAT aren't they? From the gloom on stage I spotted several photographers; either we are really exciting or not much of note ever happens in Harrowbarrow village hall - you decide.
As for actions, we rocked around like tigers on vaseline - actually I have decided that I can't rock back and forth (Rick Parfitt-like) and play at the same time without looking like a candidate for sectioning under the mental health act. In fact, now I come to think about it, I can't even stand still and play without looking like a dribbling idiot. But with the huge (admittedly mostly dark) stage area on offer, we took our craft to a new high this week - it took a Herculean effort of self control to stop myself from diving into the mosh pit.
Through the now familiar distorted scream of the PA, I think the fans could pick out a musical moment or two - but we must not sit back on our laurels, or our hardys. Rock is a hard place to be and tonality is at the heart of rock, which in itself is deep within the soil (although it's also true that sometimes it's lying on the soil, or only just underneath it).
So take a spade and dig now for your rock. Or alternatively, try this handy little web test and if you score less than 80% - dig deeper.
