The media is tearing into us!

I am republishing verbatim a cut from the Plymouth Sound site.

... and Saga-sounds in the shape of the recently-formed Dads Dancing - a bunch of decrepit old men who've opted not to rot, but to rock. Which has to be worth the price of the ticket alone.

1 We were formed before most of the other bands were born (6 years ago)
2 We do the funnies, thank you
3 There is no effing S in Dad Dancing
4 I'm not so sure about the "not to rot" bit; feels like we may have opted for that too.

Dad Dancing

Mariner's Lament.

Improvised intro on cornet.

G C
Coileys going across the sea.
C G
Take a little piece of me.
G D
May you travel wild and free.
D G
You and world in harmony.

Em Am
Must have started as dream.
Am Em
A fantasy it would seem.
Em C
But the dream grew bigger every day.
C D
Until one day then we must say.

Coileys.............

Jed ,Jack ,George will meet Neptune.
And all that hair is going soon,
Those long locks wont reach the harbour,
Look out the equator and the barbour.

Chorus ( bit louder and faster)

Have you heard from Graham and Bridget.
Not Morse Code the website you Idget,
Same as the boat a place you can trust ,
Thats Double Waters not Nautilust.

Etc..........

Write to us say wish you were here,
And if its sunny then no fear,
We'll come flying thru the air,
Supplying M and S Underwear.

Chorus then chorus up a tone to finish.

Not as punchy as WSWDWADS ,so went for slush. Great bash at the home of R'n'R, with or without feedback.

Wont get fooled again

Yes its daring , but replacing vertigo with this anthemic number is a winner . Is it match fit I hear you ask? What I say is you cant defend against pace and passion, and this song has both in spades. The Coiley boys have only dared to say what the nation was crying out for , drop vertigo from a great height , from the dizzy position at the top of the team list to the second eleven. Lets play WGFA in the first eleven at eleven.
Bit worried we are on stage 2 which seems to be reserved for community acts designed to get relatives in thru the gates. Never been my scene, much .
