Dad's Arty

A famous Cornish artist captures the essence of the Dad's; Mark restringing his guitar live on stage after yet another "sorry" moment as the G string goes kertwangy-snap.

Keeping his fingers clear of the 240v distribution would probably have left his hair slightly tidier.

Note how both chins are clearly visible

Studio Time

Graham handles some power synth chords on "White Queen" the final track of the Dad's seminal album "unshaven".

Fortunately the baseball cap was completely out of fashion at the time of the recording (unless you were a William Hague) and therefore judged to be suitable Dad-attire.

The dads go wild at the Summer of Love festival July 2001.

Al is just out of shot - and now out of the band.

The war paint was a great idea until we saw the photo.

Younger than he looks

Pete gets instructions on how to plug in an electric guitar. He's advised that playing through headphones will achieve the best sound for the band. Due to his "chew-gum and walk at the same time" affliction, which results in hugely offset vocal-to-strum timing, the new guitar has never made it to a gig.

Maybe the '06 season Pete?
